Description
A flavourful and fiery condiment that’s inspired by the legendary Ghanaian Shito sauce. We’ve taken the classic Shito recipe and given it a unique spin, swapping out the dried fish for a seaweed and mushroom blend, coupled with a traditional spice mix. This sauce captures the savoury, umami flavours of the sea without any actual seafood.
Drizzle it over your rice, eggs, use it as a marinade for meat or veggies, or simply use it as a dip for crackers or plantain chips.
Ingredients:
Sunflower oil, onion, seaweed, ginger, garlic, dried shiitake mushrooms, tomato puree, mushroom powder (salt, shiitake mushroom, sugar, yeast extract, white button mushroom), smoked paprika, scotch bonnet pepper, cayenne pepper, chilli powder, ground cloves.
